Hymn #541, vs 3& 4:
Come, labor on, Away with gloomy doubts and faithless fear!
No arm so week but may do service here: by feeblest agents
may our God fulfill [God’s] righteous will.
Come labor on, Claim the high calling angels cannot share-
to young and old the Gospel gladness bear: redeem the time;
its hours too swiftly fly. The night draws nigh.
With the exception of the choir, the opportunities to “Come labor on” to be featured in this space each week are either short term or at most, once a month tasks. Please consider joining in the work of St. John’s.

- new drainage to keep us dry
- the promise of a new growing season in our garden
- placement on the National Registry of Historic Places
- the excitement of planning new landscaping
- the long-awaited designing and restoration of our Sanctuary
